Richland volleyball eliminates Pasco

Hailey Turner had 12 kills and Noelle Craft added nine kills and 12 digs as Richland swept visiting Pasco in a Mid-Columbia Conference 4A district tournament volleyball match on Thursday.

With the victory, Richland advances to play at Chiawana at noon Saturday in a match to determine the top two seeds for regionals.

HANFORD 3, SUNNYSIDE 0: Reilee Williams had 14 kills, and Kelly Wahl added 10, as host Hanford swept Sunnyside in a play-in match for egionals/districts.

The Falcons must visit the Greater Spokane League’s top seed, University at 4 p.m. Saturday in a loser-out match.

ELLENSBURG 3, PROSSER 1: Hailey Pederson had nine kills, but it wasn’t enough as Prosser lost a CWAC match to Ellensburg.

Connell 3, Wahluke 0: Jessica Hawkins had 14 kills and 14 digs to lead the Eagles past Wahluke in the final SCAC East match of the season in Mattawa.

Connell, 12-0 in league play, has won every league match in three sets this season. The Eagles will host the No. 4 SCAC West team Tuesday in the first round of district play.
