Volleyball: Kamiakin 19th at Spokane Crossover

Linda Sheridan Classic: The Kamiakin volleyball team finished third in the Gold Bracket and 19th overall in Spokane in the formerly called Crossover Tournament on Saturday

The Braves finished 2-1 in pool play, then defeated Lake City and Freeman to advance to the semifinals. They then lost to Colfax 25-22, 25-14, before beating Pullman 25-17 in a one-set consolation match.

Dani Burke had 101 assists, 35 digs and four aces on the day, while Rachel Leshikar had nine aces and 56 digs for Kamiakin.

Chiawana finished seventh in the gold bracket, while Skyview of Nampa, Idaho, won the tournament.

Richland finished seventh in the silver division, good for 39th overall.

Peyton Wahl had 49 digs, seven assists and six aces on the day for the Bombers.
