Columbia Basin College volleyball tops Wenatchee Valley

Amanda Colegrove had 11 kills and five solo blocks to lead a strong Hawks’ effort at the net as CBC improved to 1-3 in the NWAACC East and 5-15 overall with a 25-13, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19 win over Wenatchee Valley on Friday in Pasco.

“They were pretty active tonight,” CBC coach Mike Baker said of his team’s play at the net.

Kelly Madsen added 10 kills for the Hawks, who are off until traveling to Yakima Valley next Friday. Callie Hanson added 30 assists.

Kiona-Benton 3, Wahluke 0: Kyrsten Whitmore had 17 kills and three blocks and Monica Calzadillas 38 digs and three aces to lead the Bears to a 25-21, 25-6, 25-14 SCAC East victory Thursday.

Hermiston 3, Pendleton 2: Noa Ena had 21 kills, 22 digs and was 16-for-19 serving with six aces to lead the Bulldogs to the 6-25, 25-18, 23-25, 27-25, 15-13 win Thursday.
