Volleyball: Huge rally lifts Kennewick to victory

Kennewick used an astounding 17-2 run to rally in set four and steal a Mid-Columbia Conference victory from visiting Hanford on Thursday.

Trailing 20-8, Kennewick flipped the switch and roared back for the 25-22 victory. The Lions won the match 20-25, 25-15, 23-25, 25-22, 15-12.

“It was a bit of an intense match,” Kennewick coach Julie Maciboba said.

Morgan Wilder had 29 kills, while Stephanie Buckingham had 30 assists and seven kills for the Lions.

Kamiakin 3, Chiawana 1: Amanda Miller had 10 kills and was 20-for-20 serving to lead the host Braves to a four-set victory over the Riverhawks in Mid-Columbia Conference action.

Delaney Hodgins had five kills and 15 assists in the loss.

Liddy Dalle and Ashlin Orosco each had nine kills for the Bulldogs.
