Walla Walla's Crawford signs to play volleyball at Idaho
Walla Walla High senior Torri Crawford signed a national letter of intent Monday to play volleyball at the University of Idaho starting in the fall of 2013.
Crawford, a 6-foot-1 middle blocker, was voted team MVP for the Blue Devils three consecutive seasons in volleyball and basketball, and was team captain and all-conference honoree multiple times in both sports.
"She's fast, she can move laterally, she's got good eyes, she has the right mentality for a middle," Idaho head coach Debbie Buchanan said in a press release. "The biggest thing for us is we need to get her stronger so she maintain and play at our level, but she definitely has the ability to do it."
Crawford and Eugene's Samantha Rouleau both inked with Idaho during the early signing period.
