Southridge's Brinkworth, Fraga make state all-tournament team

Fresh off the first trophy in Southridge volleyball history, the team continues to rack up the accolades.

Junior hitter Kimberly Brinkworth and junior setter Kylee Fraga were named to the Class 3A all-tournament team as voted on by media who covered the state tournament.

The Suns lost to North Thurston the semifinals in three sets, but bounced back to defeat Holy Names Academy in four sets to take third place.

Prairie’s Karlee Lubenow was named the MVP after leading her team to the state title.

In Class 4A, Bellarmine Prep junior hitter Courtney Schwan was named MVP after she led her team to a thrilling five-set victory over Spokane powerhouse Mead.
