Roundup: Connell boys finish strong in win over Adna
Gabe Tolrud collected a game-high 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Silas Chase chipped in 20 points to lift the Connell to a 65-59 win over Adna on Monday at the Chelan Christmas Tournament.
Adna took a 39-29 halftime lead, but the Eagles outscored the Pirates 36-19 over the final two quarters.
Connell will face the Chelan/Oroville winner in today’s 7:30 p.m. championship game.

WALLA WALLA 48, LEWISTON 46, OT: Noah Porter scored 13 points and Paul Babbitt added 11 points and seven steals to lead the Blue Devils to a win over the hosts at the Avista Holiday Classic at Lewis-Clark State College.
Andrew Harvey chipped in nine points and nine rebounds for Walla Walla, which plays Clarkston in Tuesday’s championship.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
KI-BE 59, UNIVERSITY PREP 39: Abby Pendergast, Kyrsten Whitmore and Gabby Edwards combined for 36 points to lift the Bears to a win at the Christmas Classic at DeSales High School in Walla Walla.
Whitmore also added 11 rebounds and two blocked shots for Kiona-Benton, which took a 30-10 halftime lead and cruised in the second half.
The Bears will play DeSales for the tournament championship at 6 p.m. today.
