Puyallup, O'Dea win state baseball titles
Puyallup scored seven runs in the first three innings and coasted to the 7-1 state 4A baseball title over South Kitsap at Gesa Stadium in Pasco on Saturday.
Adam Stump had two hits for the Vikings, who finished the season with a perfect 28-0 record.
Lane Griffin picked up the victory, scattering five hits over six innings.Tanner Paulson had two hits for South Kitsap, which finished 21-5.
WENATCHEE 5, WOODINVILLE 3: Gavin Daniels pitched 42⁄3 innings of scoreless baseball in relief, as Wenatchee bounced back from a semifinal loss to beat Woodinville in the 4A third-place game.
Class 3A baseball
O’DEA 12, BONNEY LAKE 0: Pitcher Pierre LeDorze dominated both on the mound and at the plate, leading O’Dea (25-2) to the state 3A title at Gesa Stadium in Pasco.
LeDorze was 3-for-3 at the plate, and tossed three-hit shutout over the 5-inning game shortened because of the 10-run rule.
Rex Stephan and Scottie Graham added two hits each for the Irish.
MT. SPOKANE 9, SHOREWOOD 4: Drew Rasmussen had three hits, including a double, and scored three times, and Mt. Spokane scored five times in the top of the ninth inning to win the 3A third-place game.
