Twelve area players, coaches named to all-state baseball team

Twelve players and coaches from the Mid-Columbia were named to the Washington State Baseball Coaches Association’s All-State Baseball teams this week.

In Class 4A, Richland pitcher Mason Hilty was named to the first team, while teammate and infielder Nate Ruane was on the second team.

In Class 3A, Hanford outfielder Isaac Benard, Southridge infielder Grant Lathim and Kennewick pitcher Jarrod Molnaa were named to the first team. Kennewick pitcher Clayten Ayres was a second-team selection.

And on the A-B team, Travis Haen and Cameron Richman of DeSales were first-teamers, as was Connell’s Brenden Holst.

Adam Eskil and Darryl Galloway of DeSales were named to the second team.

DeSales coach Kim Cox was named the A-B coach of the year.
