Richland falls in state lacrosse final
RICHLAND FALLS IN STATE LACROSSE FINAL
The Richland Lacrosse Club lost 8-7 to Union in the Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Association Division II state championship game Saturday at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila.
Looking to become the first team from Eastern Washington to win a WHSBLA title, Richland (16-5) led 4-1 at halftime and 6-4 at the end of three quarters.
But Union (16-4) rallied to tie the score at 7 and scored the winner in the final minute.
Union was the No. 1 seed out of the Division II Central-South Conference, and Richland was No. 2.
