Roundup: Pasco soccer clinches MCC title, regional berth
Tuesday was a big night for the Pasco soccer team.
On senior night in front of a big crowd at Edgar Brown Stadium, the Bulldogs posted a 3-2 win over Kamiakin to clinch the Mid-Columbia Conference title, top seed in the district tournament and a berth right on through to regionals.
“All the way around, it was a fun evening,” said Pasco coach Matt Potter.
Jesus Meraz-Rodriguez scored a pair of goals and Sergio Avalos added another to power the Bulldogs (14-1, 12-1 MCC). Muamer Ibisevic and Zach Yoder scored for the Braves (7-8, 7-6).
Pasco closes out the regular season Friday at Hanford and won’t play again until the MCC 4A district title game, with both of those teams advancing to regionals.
