Beo awarded scholarship to BYU
Richland’s Steven Beo had planned to walk on with the BYU basketball team, but a recent transfer opened up a scholarship for the star guard.
Jake Toolson, nephew of BYU legend and Boston Celtics guard Danny Ainge, transferred to Utah Valley, leaving a scholarship open.
Beo, who averaged 26.7 and 27.0 points a game the past two seasons, was a two-time All-State first-teamer and All-Area player of the year.
