Roundup: Richland, Hanford baseball split vs. Spokane teams
Hunter French started the season off right with a three-hit shutout, and Griffey March tripled twice and drove in three runs to lead the Richland Bombers to an 11-0 win over Mt. Spokane in nonleague baseball at Bomber field.
Derek Harder added a double and a triple in the game for Richland.
The Bombers later lost to Gonzaga Prep 7-6. Casey Perryman went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs.

HANFORD SPLITS: Dusty Derflinger was 4-for-4 and drove in two runs, and Trevor Smith was 3-for-5 with three RBIs to lead the Falcons to a 14-5 win over Gonzaga Prep in the first game of a nonleague pair at Waits Field.
After taking advantage of five G-Prep errors in the opener, Hanford gave back five miscues in a 12-8 loss to Mt. Spokane, blowing an early 8-0 lead.
“Mt. Spokane made some errors early in the game to give us some runs, and we made several errors in the last three innings that gave them life,” Falcons coach Tom DeWitz said.
Ryan Young was 2-for-3 with a double for Hanford in the second game.

A.J. Dixon wsa 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and two RBIs to spark the Coyotes’ offense.
