Chiawana Riverhawks win Northwest Duals

The Chiawana Riverhawks already are one of the most talented wrestling teams in Washington. Now, they’re feared in Oregon, thanks to their performance at the Northwest Duals on Tuesday in Albany, Ore.

The Riverhawks won five dual meets, taming Sherwood, Silverton, Harrisburg, Centennial and Sweet Home, and several wrestlers ended up unbeaten on the day.

Bryce Buckley was one of them, wrestling four matches at 160 pounds, including two pins and a major decision. He also picked up a forfeit win. Clayton Silvers also won four matches (plus a forfeit win), pinning three opponents along with a decision at 182.

Kameron Silvers (5-0 at 220) and Levi McBride (5-0 at 285) each recorded three pins, and Cory Johnson (5-0 at 160) picked up two pins and a major decision.
