In their first home game of the season, Steven Beo and Landon Radliff gave the Art Dawald Gymnasium faithful a peek at what the Richland guards might have in store for opponents this year.

The senior pair combined for 62 points as Richland defeated a tough Walla Walla squad 75-63 on Saturday.

“I think that’s the first time I’ve ever had two players score 30 points. But they didn’t just score points. They were unselfish and did a good job putting the ball on other people,” Bombers coach Earl Streufert said. “We had some younger guys with a case of jitters in their first game at home.”

Radliff added a team-high 14 rebounds, six assists and four steals in a well-rounded effort. Richland got a boost on defense from sophomore 7-footer Riley Sorn, who had 10 rebounds and a pair of blocked shots.

“He’s playing exceptionally well. He’s playing 15-16 minutes a game and really working at developing,” Streufert said.

Noah Porter had 17 points to lead Wa-Hi.
