Mid-Columbia roundup for Nov. 20: Royal-Colville football game moved to Saturday

Royal High School’s Class 1A state football quarterfinal against Colville didn’t go off Friday night as scheduled.

But it will happen Saturday.

The game time is set for 4:30 p.m., but the site won’t be determined until early Saturday morning, thanks to the major power outage from Tuesday’s windstorm in the Spokane area.

According to a tweet from SWX’s Sam Adams, if first-choice site Gonzaga Prep does not have power by 6 a.m., the game will be held at Joe Albi Stadium, after the Woodinville/ G-Prep 4A quarterfinal.

“We know that Albi does have power,” Knights coach Wiley Allred said.
