Prep roundup: Kamiakin soccer advances to state playoffs

Heather Donais scored a goal and assisted on two others, and the Kamiakin Braves kept their season alive with a 3-0 win over Mount Spokane in a regional soccer match in Spokane.

Coach Chris Erikson said she was pleased with a crisp, intelligent game from her squad.

“We had a fairly early score, and we had to play really smart the rest of the game so we could contain them,” Erikson said. “We did a really good job of that in the second half. We marked up well, played good defense. I think we really just wore them down (for the final two goals). Very patient, intelligent scoring for us in the second half.”
