Kennewick Lions girls soccer blanks Walla Walla 2-0; Southridge stays atop MCC

Hannah Templeton scored two goals to lift the Kennewick Lions girls soccer team to a 2-0 Mid-Columbia Conference victory over the Walla Walla Blue Devils on Saturday at Lampson Stadium, giving the Lions their fourth win of the season.

“We were hoping to win three, and we’ve got four. We’re happy,” Kennewick coach Matt Kessie said. “It was a good day for Hannah. She really wanted a hat trick and went wide and high on a couple shots. (All-MCC midfielder) Klarissa (Barajas) has been hurt the last few games, but Berenice (Hernandez) has stepped up and filled those shoes.”
