Golf: Southridge's Mandell wins Kennewick Invite

Southridge High’s Nick Mandell shot 3-under par Friday to capture medalist honors at the 51st annual Kennewick Invitational at the Tri-City Country Club.

Mandell finished at 62, two shots ahead of Richland High’s Drew McCullough and Ferris High of Spokane’s Eric Ansett.

Richland won the team title, shooting a 278. Coeur d’Alene was second at 288 and Ferris third at 289. Southridge was fourth with 291, while Hanford was fifth with 296.

Richland’s Jeffrey Marcum and Hanford’s Zach Betzsold tied for fourth at 68, while Hanford’s Tanner Martin, Richland’s Hunter Thompson and Pasco’s Daniel Haug tied for sixth at 69.
