Former Liberty Christian football player Tyler Morris made his third Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Academic Team in his senior season, and is on track to do even bigger things after graduation.

In addition to serving as a defensive back on the University of Minnesota Duluth football team for 4 years, Morris put himself on track to graduate in May with a degree in mechanical engineering, and also is an Air Force ROTC cadet. He’ll be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Air Force this spring, and will attend combat systems officer training in Pensacola, Fla.

In order to earn NSIC All-Academic team honors, players must maintain a 3.20 GPA or higher, be an active member of a varsity traveling team and have acheived at least sophomore academic and athletic standing. Eighteen UMD football players made this season’s list that was released in November.
