CBC women bully Yakima Valley
With just three six-footers on its roster, the Columbia Basin College women’s basketball team doesn’t get to use size to push other Northwest Athletic Conference teams around very much.
Saturday was an exception, when the Hawks used a 67-36 rebounding edge to stomp the Yakima Valley Yaks 100-53 in Pasco, putting five players in double figures and five players with at least seven rebounds.
Holly Ellison led CBC (10-8, 2-1) with 13 points and was one of four players with eight boards. Amber Jones chipped in 12 points for the Hawks, who led 48-28 at the half.
Alexis Gratton led YVCC (3-14, 0-3) with 21 points.

Andrew Reddout paced CBC with 18 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.
