CBC women finish second in Pierce tourney
Marissa Caballero poured in 32 points in an all-tournament performance Sunday, but the Columbia Basin College women came up short in a 74-71 loss to Lane in the championship game of the Pierce Holiday Invitation in Lakewood.
Caballero also pulled down seven rebounds and dished out four assists. Cayla Jones added 16 points and eight rebounds, but the Hawks (4-5) had no answer for 6-foot-1 Lane standout Jordan Kimbrough, who piled up 25 points and 15 rebounds on her way to being named tournament MVP for the Titans (7-0).
CBC is off until playing in the Linn-Benton Crossover in Albany, Ore., on Friday against Bellevue.
