CBC men, women split with NIC in soccer
Danny Romero scored off an assist from Jair Dominguez with two minutes left in regulation, giving the Columbia Basin College men a 1-0 road win Wednesday over North Idaho College in NWAC East men’s soccer.
Hawks goalkeeper Max Ramos made four saves to record the shutout. CBC (7-7-1 overall, 6-6-0 East) remains in third place in the East and moved to within two points of leader Spokane (8-4-3, 6-3-2).

NIC WOMEN 3, CBC 0: Megan Lowery scored all three goals as the Cardinals (8-4-2, 6-2-1) handed the Hawks (7-6-2, 5-4-1) a home loss.
Lowery broke a scoreless tie in the 48th minute and then scored again a minute later to put NIC up 2-0 to start the second half.
