CBC women beat WVCC in NWAC soccer

The Columbia Basin College women’s soccer team bounced back in the second half to score three goals, defeating visiting Wenatchee Valley 3-1 in an NWAC East match Tuesday in Wenatchee.

“We had one lapse, and they scored first so we were in a kind of panic mode,” said CBC coach Matt Mills, whose team improved to 1-1-1 in the standings. “But we turned it around in the second half.”

Connell grad Brittany Vickerman, Prosser grad Debra Hulse and Hunter Long each scored goals for the Hawks.

Stephanie Gibson and Dakota Wickard shared time in goal and combined on eight saves for CBC.
