Neidhold leads CBC women's golf to win
Columbia Basin College’s Hope Neidhold topped the field at an NWAACC women’s golf tournament at McCormick Woods in Port Orchard on Monday, shooting an 83 to finish with a two-day score of 165.
Neidhold, a Richland High School graduate, started the day with a 45 on the front nine but finished strong with a 38 on the back nine, leading the Hawks to the women’s team title at 519 strokes.
Teammate Bri Hadler finished third overall with a two-day score of 173.
Spokane finished in second at 547.
On the men’s side, Spokane’s Evan Omelia carded two consecutive rounds under par to finish at 3-under 141, eight strokes ahead of Keynan Fanslow of Olympic (149) to lead the Sasquatch to the men’s title.
Kamiakin graduate Jack Tumlinson led the CBC men with a 166.
