CBC baseball splits with Spokane

Evan Harder and Steven Danek combined on a one-hitter and Columbia Basin battered Spokane with 18 hits during a 12-0 shutout to open an NWAACC East doubleheader Wednesday in Pasco.
Hayden Meier went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs for the Hawks in the first game. He added a pair of RBIs in the second game, a 6-3 Spokane win.
Jesse Wantland and Jordan Webb also had three hits in the opener as CBC piled up nine runs in the third inning. Danek came on in the third and threw five innings of one-hit relief for the save.
