Neidhold lifts CBC women's golf to Bigfoot team title

Hope Neidhold erased a three-shot deficit with a 5-over 77 in the final round to win the Bigfoot Invitational, leading Columbia Basin College to the women’s team championship Monday at Meadowood Golf Course in Spokane.

Neidhold shot an 83 on Sunday, trailing Brigid Rypien of Spokane and Madison Hauck of North Idaho heading into Day 2. But she, along with her four Hawks teammates, improved on their Day 1 scores. Neidhold finished with a 160, beating Rypien (185) by five strokes and Hauck (186) by six.

On the men’s side, Angus Montgomery of North Idaho led both days, finishing at 6-under 138 after a final round of 71. Montana Frane of Southwest Oregon and Brady Calkins of Spokane tied for second at 140.
