CBC's Neidhold takes lead in NWAACC golf tourney

Hope Neidhold shot a first-day 83 for the Columbia Basin women at Spokane’s Liberty Lake Golf Course and sits in third place in a nonleague NWAACC match.

Neidhold is three strokes off the pace set by a pair of golfers from Spokane and North Idaho. The CBC women also are in third in the team race, with Janci Spoo four strokes back of Neidhold with an 87.

The CBC men didn’t fare as well, with Jack Tumlenson posting the Hawks’ top score at 76, nine strokes off the leader. A rough day left CBC in last heading into today’s final round at Meadowwood.
