Softball: Columbia Basin, Walla Walla split doubleheader

Columbia Basin 6-4, Walla Walla 3-8: Bailey Walthers went 3-for-5 with two RBIs, and Janelle Randles pitched a complete game Tuesday to lead the Hawks to a 6-3 victory over the Warriors in the opening game of an NWAACC East doubleheader in Walla Walla.

Courney Verity hit a three-run home run in the third inning of Game 2 to lead Walla Walla (8-5 East) to an 8-4 victory. Gabby Meza had a double and drove in two runs for the Hawks (8-6).
