CBC women top Big Bend in softball twinbill
Janelle Randles went 6-for-8 with a three-run home run, a double and five RBIs to lead Columbia Basin College to an 8-3, 9-0 NWAACC East sweep of Big Bend in Moses Lake.
Randles also pitched both games, striking 13. She improved to 5-0 in East Region play.
The Hawks (7-3 East) got a double and two RBIs from Brittany Mitchell in the opener, along with Randles’ home run in the second inning.
The second game, ended by the eight-run rule after five innings, Justine Nuckols had a pinch-hit RBI double in the fifth inning and Randles drove in two runs.
