WWCC baseball splits with YVC

Kennewick High grad Clayten Ayres had three hits and pitched an inning of shutout relief to help lead the Walla Walla Community College baseball team to a 7-2 win over host Yakima Valley on Saturday.

Jarod Gonzales, another Kennewick High alum, had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs, but it wasn’t enough as Walla Walla lost the nightcap 8-6.
