Pasco’s Perez leads CBC women to season-opening hoops win over Lower Columbia
Sierra Perez (Pasco) was 7 of 10 from 3-point range and finished with 39 points to lead the Columbia Basin College women to a 90-80 season-opening win Saturday at Lower Columbia.
Emily Botkin had 21 points and 10 rebounds for CBC. Cayla Jones tallied 11 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and three steals.
Madison Lord led Lower Columbia with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

FAIRCHILD AFB 67, CBC MEN 66: Kason Blair (Prosser) scored 15 points for the host Hawks, but they couldn’t get past Fairchild in their season opener.
Joshua Winters had 15 points for Fairchild, which led 37-35 at halftime.
Former Southridge High School standouts Gabe Vorheis and Brad Scott combined to grab 18 of CBC’s 45 rebounds.
