Coveted 5-star tackle in 2027 class commits to Notre Dame

Five-star tackle Oluwasemilore Olubobola committed to Notre Dame's Class of 2027 on Tuesday.

In a ceremony at his school, Saint Peter's Prep in Jersey City, N.J., Olubobola reached under a table and pulled out a bright green Notre Dame baseball cap to signify his choice.

He picked Notre Dame over Florida, Miami, Penn State and Texas A&M.

The 247Sports composite ranks the 6-foot-6, 295-pound Olubobola as the No. 3 offensive tackle and the No. 15 player in the nation for 2027.

He had offers from at least 42 schools across the country.

Notre Dame's 2027 class has 15 commits and is ranked No. 4 in the nation by the 247Sports composite. Olubobola is the highest-ranked commit in the class.
