Kennewick grad Dillon Plew named WCL Player of the Week
Kennewick High School graduate Dillon Plew, now at Washington State, was named the West Coast League Player of the Week for June 26 through July 2, league president Brian Sloan announced Tuesday.
Playing for the Yakima Valley Pippins, Plew went 13-for-27 (.481) for the week with 8 runs scored, 3 stolen bases, a double, a homer and 10 RBIs.
As a freshman at WSU this spring, Plew hit .293 over 184 at bats with two homers and 14 RBIs.
