BASEBALL

▪ The Tri-City Premier Fall Ball League for ages 9-18 is being formed for 2016. The wood-bat league will run Sept. 10-Oct. 9. Information: www.tcpremier.com.

▪ The Batters Box, under new ownership, is accepting registration and deposits for the Winter Baseball Academy. Academy will consist of fielding, base running, hitting, bunting and pitching drills. ▪ Columbia Youth Sports is offering a ballhandling clinic for boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade. The clinic will be July 19-20 at Hanford High School. CROSS COUNTRY

▪ Tri-Cities Prep is offering a co-ed cross country camp from July 19-21 for incoming fifth- through eighth-graders. The camps runs from 8-11 a.m. each day. Learn about the sport, and participate in activities to build team chemistry. Information: tcprep.org; 509-546-2465.

FOOTBALL

▪ The Junior Hanford Falcon Football Camp for players entering grades 2-8 will run from 6-7:30 p.m. July 25-28 at Hanford Falcon Stadium. The camp is coached by Hanford High School football staff and players. The camp focuses on football fundamentals, speed, strength, agility and plyometric development. Cost is $50; includes camp T-shirt. Registration and payment (no cash) can be brought to Hanford High from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Campers also can register the day of camp. GOLF

▪ The Jeff Bender Golf Academy is offering clinics for adults (July 22) and juniors (July 23). Clinics will last 90 minutes. Adult clinics start at 6:30 p.m., and junior clinics are at 8 a.m. Cost is $65 per person. Practice balls included; equipment available if needed. ▪ The eighth annual Jess Ford of Pullman Hardhat Classic golf tournament is July 30 at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman. The tournament benefits the WSU Facilities Services Scholarship Fund/Endowment. Check-in is at 7 a.m., with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Entry fee is $135 and includes 18 holes, golf cart rental, hat, practice balls and a buffet lunch from Banyan’s on the Ridge. ▪ The McCurley Canyon Lakes Men’s and Ladies’ Club Amateur Championship will be held Aug. 6-7. Entry fee is $120 (full season members $70). More than $5,000 added to the prize pool. LACROSSE

SOCCER

▪ Reata Springs Baptist Church will host a free soccer camp Aug. 1-5 for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The camp will be held at the playing fields behind the Reata Springs Baptist Church located at 2881 Leslie Road in Richland. Times for the camp are from 6-8 p.m. each day. ▪ Walla Walla Parks and Recreation is taking registrations for Fall Youth Soccer. Registration will continue until 5 p.m. July 22. Late registration will be taken on an as-available basis and subject to a $10 late fee. Practices will begin the week of Aug. 22. Games will begin the week of Sept. 6. The program is open to boys and girls in the Walla Walla Valley between the ages of 5-14 as of Aug. 1. Cost is $50 per player. Families registering more than three children will pay regular player fees for the first two children and $10 for each additional child. Scholarships are available.
