Erling Haaland's Girlfriend Wows World Cup Fans In Summer Dress
All eyes will be on Erling Haaland when Norway faces England this Saturday.
Prior to the start of this year's World Cup, the Norwegian striker talked about the pressure he dealt with leading up to this tournament. He so desperately wanted to lead his country to new heights while on the biggest stage possible.
"It was a lot of pressure. It is a lot of pressure now still, but yeah, I could feel it ever since I started with the national team, the pressure [to get to a World Cup]. The more time I've been there, the more pressure, of course, on my shoulders. But again, even better that we managed to do it, and it's an amazing feeling," Haaland said, via ESPN. "To qualify for the World Cup is a really special thing. I'm looking forward to it. It's going to be amazing. Finally."
Well, it's fair to say Haaland has exceeded expectations. The Manchester City star already has seven goals in four matches, leading Norway to the quarterfinals. It certainly helps that he has a great support system.
Haaland's girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng Johansen, has been by his side for Norway's run this World Cup.
Unsurprisingly, Johansen has become incredibly popular on Instagram. She's gone from having over 370,000 followers to 1.3 million followers in the span of a week.
Norway hoping to pull off the upset.
While a quarterfinal match could produce serious nerves for both sides, Norway coach Ståle Solbakken believes his squad wil rise up to the challenge against England.
"England has more pressure than us, but we put more pressure on our performance," Solbakken said. "When the game has started, I don't think the players think about the pressure. It's 11 vs. 11 -- pressure is more about the talk beforehand. The whole nation has lived a good life in the last three weeks, you feel the emotions are really there and tomorrow is a Saturday game and it won't get any better than tomorrow."
The Norway-England match will be televised on FOX at 5 p.m. ET.
