Did Novak Djokovic Play His Last Tournament At Wimbledon?

Will Novak Djokovic return to the All England Club for the 2027 Wimbledon Championships? That's a popular question being asked this weekend.

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner cruised to a 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 victory over Djokovic on Centre Court this Friday. Even though Djokovic was coming off an incredible win over Felix Auger-Aliassime, that momentum didn't carry over to the semifinals.

After watching Djokovic lose in straight sets, some fans made the argument that he should retire at the end of this season.

As of now though, Djokovic plans on making another run at an eighth Wimbledon title.

"I'd like to come back, at least 1 more time. Last year I reached four Grand Slam semifinals, and this year I've reached one final and one semifinal in three majors," Djokovic said. "For 99% of players, that would be fantastic. For me it's good but not enough. I'm both blessed and cursed to be used to the highest level of results and achievements."

Turning the page to the US Open.

As of now, Djokovic is on the entry list for the National Bank Open in Montreal. He'll use that tournament as a warm-up for the US Open in late August.

Although he won't be the favorite to win the US Open, Djokovic is a year removed from reaching the semifinals in New York. If Carlos Alcaraz continues to sit out with a wrist injury, there's a chance he could make another US Open final.

While it seems like the door has slammed shut on Djokovic winning a 25th Grand Slam title, we simply can't count out the most accomplished player in the history of men's tennis.
