Heat Shared Questionable Bam Adebayo Video Before Tyler Herro Fight
Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo and his former teammate, Tyler Herro, made headlines for the wrong reason this weekend.
ESPN insider Shams Charania reported Friday that Adebayo "struck" Herro during an altercation at a practice court in Las Vegas. It doesn't sound like the All-Star guard suffered any major injuries.
"The altercation occurred at a practice court in a Las Vegas hotel this morning, sources said - starting when Adebayo approached Herro about comments the guard made critiquing the center on social media after their seven-year run in Miami ended," Charania reported.
Just three hours before Charania broke the news about this fight, the official X account for the Heat shared a video of Adebayo pretending to fight his new teammate, Bobby Portis.
Some fans are questioning if Adebayo was showing Portis what happened earlier in the day between him and Herro.
"Unbelievably timed post," one fan commented.
"Was this moments after he knocked out Herro," a second fan replied.
"What an incredible video to post on a day like today," another fan said.
What led to Adebayo and Herro's fight?
Just a week ago, screenshots of Herro talking trash about Adebayo were leaked on social media.
"It's a mf making 60 million but they worried about me and what I do," Herro wrote. "You should get paid 60 million to be a top tier defender on some nights? I'm just wondering."
Herro also said: "If I'm healthy I'm the one who needs help, who did Cleveland prioritize taking away in the playoffs?"
Clearly, Adebayo didn't appreciate those remarks from his former teammate. It's unclear if the NBA will investigate this situation.
