Raptors Recap (July 10): Portland 13, Ridgefield 10

Highlights - The Raptors opened a three-game home series with their seventh consecutive loss. Pitching was once again a struggle as Ridgefield allowed at least nine runs for the sixth game in a row.

At the plate - Ridgefield designated hitter Cade Ladehoff (Michigan) hit a two-run home run in the first inning for his third homer of the season....The Raptors had just two hits until they scored eight runs in the bottom of the ninth. Brock Leitgeb had a two-RBI double and Jackson Weber, Reid Farrell and Ben Strutt had RBI singles. Ridgefield left the bases loaded.

On the mound - Ridgefield starter Jordan Haver (Fresno State) lasted just two innings, allowing five runs, seven hits and two walks. It was a rare off night for a pitcher who entered Friday with opponents hitting just .133 against him and a 2.63 earned run average.

Next up - The Raptors (20-14) continue a three-game series against the Pickles (15-16) on Saturday at Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex. First pitch is 6:35 p.m. All fans will receive a coupon for free Chick-fil-A after the game.
