FOX Commentator Getting Destroyed Online for ‘Awful' World Cup Announcing
Cape Verde is the international story that has taken ahold of the World Cup from North America back home to the tiny nation that is doing gigantic things in the tournament.
They opened the tournament up by drawing the European champions in Spain in what was seen as one of the miraculous upsets in World Cup history.
The underdogs proved they were no fluke by not only tying multi-time World Cup champion Uruguay in their next game, but scoring two goals against the South American side, nearly beating them in another historic result.
But while fans around the globe were happy about Cape Verde’s first-ever goal at a World Cup in their 2-2 draw, there was one thing they weren’t happy about: The announcing of said goal.

JP Dellacamera, 74, is a longtime commentator of the sport, but is under fire from every corner of social media for what viewers are saying was a call so bad that it took away from the iconic moment from Cape Verde.
Cape Verde, after getting their first point in match one and their first goal in match two, will hope that they can complete the achievement trifecta by winning their first World Cup game on their third match day, which would propel them to the Round of 32.
Fans will be hoping that if they do, the commentary is up to par to match the excitement of the moment.
