Juan Soto Off-Field Move Revealed on Mets' Off-Day

The New York Mets are in the midst of a three-game series against their National League East rivals, the Philadelphia Phillies. The two teams began the set at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on Thursday, with New York winning 6-4.

While the second game in the series would traditionally be played on Friday, there was a scheduled off-day due to the 2026 World Cup game being played between Brazil and Haiti at Lincoln Financial Field, which shares a parking lot with the Phillies' home stadium.

Thursday's series opener saw Mets star outfielder Juan Soto shine, as he went 2-for-4 at the plate with a pair of solo home runs, which proved to be the difference in New York's victory.

On Friday, Soto took advantage of the break in the Mets' series against the Phillies, as he and some of his teammates attended the match in Group C of the World Cup between Brazil and Haiti.

Major League Baseball shared a photo of Soto and three of his teammates at field-level at the game being played in Philadelphia.

"Juan Soto and some @Mets teammates are in the house for tonight's Brazil-Haiti #FIFAWorldCup match ," MLB said in a post on X.

Soto was in for a treat at the Brazil-Haiti game, as the Brazilians, led by head coach Carlo Ancelotti, jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half. With a win, Brazil would put itself in a good position to advance to the knockout stages.
