Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Reveals What Stands Out About George Pickens
Dak Prescott is entering his 11th season with the Dallas Cowboys. While the veteran has racked up a handful of achievements throughout his career, including four Pro Bowls, a Super Bowl win has not been added to his resume.
However, with a strong supporting cast, Prescott aims to bring the Lombardi Trophy to Dallas for the first time since the 1995 season. One teammate he will be relying on is wide receiver George Pickens.
Luckily for the Cowboys, the 2025 Pro Bowler is ready to go. After Pickens and Dallas failed to reach a long-term extension, the 25-year-old was placed under the franchise tag. He then skipped out on the team's voluntary OTAs, leading to speculation of a holdout.
That was quickly shut down on Tuesday, though, when Pickens showed up to the Cowboys' first day of mandatory. When talking to reporters on Thursday, Prescott praised the wide receiver's impact on and off the field.
"It's great," Prescott said, according to The Athletic's Jon Machota. "You feel his energy. You feel his presence. It's in the locker room. Obviously it's out there on the football field. Everything felt good. He looks great. I know he's going to be ready for (training) camp. The excitement, you can feel it."

Thursday was the final day of the team's minicamp. The players will now be getting a break before returning for training camp in late July. Pickens will once again be present when that begins, confirming he won't be holding out then either.

Last season, the former Georgia Bulldog became one of Prescott's most trusted targets. He led the team in receptions (93), yards (1,429) and touchdowns (nine). He is looking to carry that momentum into the 2026 season.
