Who is the Best QB in the NFL Right Now?

NFL fans are enjoying a golden age of quarterback play, with superstar passers in just about every direction.

But who's the best in the game right now?

You can make a strong case for a handful of names, depending on the criteria you value most at the position.

If you're a fan of dual-threat weapons, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are both worthy of the title. Jackson was the youngest quarterback in league history to win multiple MVP awards, and should have won a third one in 2024. That went to Allen, who has developed from a raw talent into one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the NFL, thanks to a rare combination of size, athleticism and arm strength. Both are dangerous runners, but can still destroy opposing defenses from the pocket.

If you're still more of a pocket-passer person, the league still has those guys, too. Joe Burrow continues to sling it with the best of them, making the most of the league's best wide receiver tandem and putting up huge numbers when he's healthy. Patrick Mahomes will always get plenty of votes, and rightly so, with his ability to produce highlight-reel plays and impressive production, regardless of his supporting cast. Even late into his 30s, Matthew Stafford continues to play as well as any quarterback in the league, masterfully operating Sean McVay's offense and making eye-popping throws.

Over the last few years, more talented signal-callers have entered the conversation. Does Caleb Williams merit a vote after just two seasons in the league? Do Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott, Jordan Love, Trevor Lawrence or Brock Purdy deserve a seat at the table?
