Royals acquire RHP Connor Seabold from Blue Jays
The Kansas City Royals acquired right-hander Connor Seabold from the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday for minor league right-hander Denis Samudio and cash considerations.
To make room on the 40-man roster, the Royals transferred right-hander Carlos Estevez (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list.
Seabold, 30, is 1-0 with a 4.26 ERA in 16 combined relief outings with the Detroit Tigers and Blue Jays this season. He was traded to Toronto on May 27. In five major league seasons with six different clubs, Seabold is 2-11 with a 7.30 ERA in 56 appearances (19 starts).
Samudio, 21, is 1-1 with a 5.49 ERA in six appearances (three starts) at two different minor league levels this season. The native of Panama was signed by the Royals in January of 2025.
