Mets Recall Relief Pitcher Amid Christian Scott News
Amid the injuries to their starting pitching rotation, the New York Mets are adding some bullpen depth.
Per Will Sammon of The Athletic, the Mets are recalling right-handed reliever Jonathan Pintaro from Triple-A Syracuse.

This news comes after Sammon also reported that New York was placing starting pitcher Christian Scott on the injured list with a minor hip injury.
Pat Ragazzo of Athlon Sports later reported that it's a hip impingement for Scott.
Regarding Mets starter Christian Scott, I'm hearing it's a hip impingement

Expectation is that it's minor and should be a short stay on the IL
I'm also told Jonah Tong is not in the mix to start for him tomorrow since he pitched 5 innings yesterday
As for Pintaro, he last pitched for the Mets on June 10 against the St. Louis Cardinals, when he tossed the final three innings of the game. The 28-year-old, who is ranked as the Mets' No. 20 prospect, has appeared in three games this season, posting a 1.35 ERA with five strikeouts and a 0.30 WHIP in 6.2 innings.
While Pintaro has had minimal major-league experience to date, his length has been a strength for him and the Mets. With the aforementioned Scott now on the IL for the time being, the Mets will likely turn to Pintaro as a long reliever.
New York's rotation is also without Clay Holmes (fractured fibula) and Kodai Senga (lumbar spine inflammation). The latter could return to the Mets in some capacity in the near future after an encouraging rehab outing last week.
The Mets are beginning a three-game series on Monday against the Cincinnati Reds and are turning to Tobias Myers to start the game as an opener. Myers has spent over a month in Triple-A with the goal of the Mets stretching him out as a starter. However, he has not thrown more than 2.2 innings and 36 pitches in an outing.
With the Mets dealing with a depleted rotation, they're hoping that their bullpen, which has been stellar so far this season, can hold firm. They will likely have to put more stress on what has been a superb unit.
