Hard Rock Stadium will host Saudi Arabia and Uruguay as they begin their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign in Group H, which also includes Spain and Cabo Verde.

Saudi Arabia are looking to improve on their recent World Cup performances after exiting in the group stage at the last two tournaments. Their best result is a place in the Round of 16 at the 1994 World Cup.

Ahead of the tournament, The Green Falcons defeated Puerto Rico 1-0 before while also suffering a 2-1 loss to Ecuador in the pre World Cup friendlies.

Uruguay, meanwhile, are one of the most successful teams in World Cup history. They won the tournament in 1930 and 1950 and remain a respected team on the international stage.

A victory against Saudi Arabia would give Uruguay a boost in the race for a place in the Round of 16, with Spain considered the favourites to finish at the top of Group H.

Marcelo Bielsa's side have not played since their March friendlies. Uruguay drew 1-1 with England at Wembley before playing out a goalless draw against Algeria.

Saudi Arabia and Uruguay have met three times before. Each team has recorded one victory, including Uruguay's 1-0 win at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
