ESPN's Computer Model Predicts Winner For Knicks-Spurs NBA Finals Game 5
The Larry O'Brien Trophy will be up for grabs when the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs meet this weekend for Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
The Spurs seemed on their way to evening up the series before heading back home to San Antonio, but the Knicks simply wouldn't be denied their chance to make history in Game 4. Jalen Brunson was the driving force behind their 29-point comeback, scoring 36 points for his squad.
OG Anunoby was also sensational for the Knicks when it mattered most. Not only did he have a game-saving block on De'Aaron Fox, he made the go-ahead shot with 1.2 seconds remaining in regulation.
"You have to have a little luck in life," Knicks coach Mike Brown said. "You've got to have a little luck in sports. But you can also make your luck too. So you've got to have some natural luck and some luck where you're going to make your own luck, and that was probably the biggest message."
Do the Spurs have anything left in the tank?
Although the Spurs suffered a soul-crushing loss in Game 4, ESPN's computer model expects them to bounce back at home this Saturday.
ESPN's matchup predictor is currently giving San Antonio a 56.8% chance of winning this Saturday and forcing a Game 6 in New York.
Oddsmakers also like the Spurs to come out on top in this elimination game. It's worth noting they played their best basketball when their backs were against the wall in the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Tipoff for Game 5 is at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
