De'Aaron Fox Reacts to Possibility of Knicks Fan Takeover in Game 5
The New York Knicks are one win away from securing the franchise’s first NBA title since 1973.
The team has its first chance to close out the series on Saturday, taking the court at San Antonio’s Frost Bank Center with a 3-1 NBA Finals lead over the Spurs.
Knicks fans have traveled well throughout the playoffs. In New York’s Game 1 and Game 2 appearances at the Frost Bank Center, “Let’s Go Knicks!” chants rang throughout the arena as they secured back-to-back road victories to begin the championship series.
With an NBA title on the line, Knicks fans will likely have a significant presence on Saturday night.
Spurs point guard De’Aaron Fox was asked about the impending Knicks fan invasion during his media availability on Friday.
“People are making money. It’s the economy that we live in. It’s the world that we live in,” Fox said of Spurs fans selling tickets to Knicks fans. “Am I upset about it? No. Do I understand it? Sure. I don’t think that really changes kind of what happens on the court.”
