Alexi Lalas Dropped F-Bomb During FOX's World Cup Coverage

Alexi Lalas is the United States' top commentator on all things soccer (and if you don't believe it, just ask him). But he might be getting a nasty letter from the FCC in the next few days after trying to make a joke - about James Corden of all people.

During today's episode of FIFA World Cup Live ahead of Canada vs. Bosnia & Herzegovina, Lalas, Rebecca Lowe, Theirry Henry and Zlatan Ibrahimovic started joking about comedian James Corden. Lalas decided to have a little fun and called Corden a "(f-word) wanker."

Granted, he may have been trying to say "full kit wanker," but that's not exactly what it sounded like.

Lowe and Henry were stunned. Lowe's jaw dropped while Henry's eyes looked like they were about to fall out of his head.

They were probably a bit more offended by Lalas using the word "wanker" than the close-sounding F-bomb.

Insufferable

Lalas has always been a polarizing figure among soccer fans, so many had jokes over how rough it must be for Lowe, Henry and Zlatan to be working with him:

"Henry must be so confused as to why he has to co-host TV shows with Alexi (expletive) Lalas," one user on X joked.

"Haha holy (expletive) this is what it's all about folks," wrote another.

"Zlatan low key loved it," a third joked.

"Thierry's face!"

Lowe and Henry were almost certainly more offended by Lalas' use of the word "wanker" than the possible F-bomb, and the fact that Lalas just narrowly managed to avoid saying the dreaded word itself means that he's probably safe from any FCC retaliation.

Even so, maybe Lalas should mind his tongue just a little bit more in the days to come.

Knowing him, he might just double down though.
