Caitlin Clark Reveals Taylor Swift-Themed Nike Kobe 6 Sneakers

Three days ago, Indiana Fever All-Star guard Caitlin Clark caught the eye of everyone at CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C. by debuting Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Midwest Lakes" PEs at shootaround.

Clark said during her pregame media availability that Nike designed them, but she “agreed and said yes because I think they look amazing, [and] baby blue is my favorite color.” The 2024 No. 1 overall pick also teased that her highly anticipated Nike signature shoe will release “very, very, very, very, very, very soon.”

Clark amplified the anticipation even more by debuting the new Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Eras Tour” PEs ahead of the Fever’s WNBA Commissioner’s Cup matchup with the Chicago Sky on Thursday.

Clark signed a reported $28 million contract with Nike shortly after her iconic Iowa career ended in April 2024. Nike introduced Clark as its newest signature athlete last August.

Clark is a die-hard Taylor Swift fan and attended back-to-back The Eras Tour shows in Indianapolis in November 2024.

“Swift gave Clark four bags of Eras Tour merchandise with a note saying Clark was inspiring to watch from afar,” Sean Gregory wrote in his TIME Athlete of the Year profile of Clark published in December 2024. “She said ‘Trav and I’ were excited to get to a Fever game now that the tour was winding down and invited Clark to attend a Chiefs game with her.”

Clark has since joined Swift at two Kansas City Chiefs games in Arrowhead Stadium - first for the Chiefs’ playoff win over the Houston Texans in January 2025 and again for the Chiefs’ “Sunday Night Football” win over Detroit last October.

Swift and Travis Kelce, her soon-to-be husband, have yet to attend one of Clark’s Fever games, but there’s plenty of time to do so, especially now that Swift is in her basketball era.

Entering Thursday’s action, Clark has averaged 18.7 points, 7.9 assists, and 4.5 rebounds for the 6-5 Fever.
